Looking at buying a 2011, need your opinion

I'm looking at selling my 02 7.3 for a 2011 6.7 and the guy deleted the stock exhaust with a 5in straight pipe and added a H&S programmer. So now he doesn't have to add any def. Forgive my ignorance but is the delete safe on the motor? He still has the stock exhaust that was originally on it but I just don't know that much about the 6.7 and the def fluid.

You might not be able to register it, if you live in a state that requires smog checks when transferring the truck. Where do you live?

Looks like you are OK to mod your truck. I wish I was...

Thanks, does that mod cause any extra wear and tear or damage to the engine? I guess I'm not totally sure what the new trucks use the def for.

It is a smog thingy. Reduces particle smoke out of the engine. Since it is after the engine, I do not see any harm to the engine.
