Scorpion will be here later this year!!

Well, Ford and Navi have officially splitted ways which means Ford needs motors for 2010MY trucks. That means the trucks & engine production will begin very soon (May June). So....... are you guys ready for the 6.7L which should debut later this year around October

Have the official numbers been released on what power the motor will produce? Rumors of 390 and 720 have been floating around but nothing official. And don't forget.... Urea technology.

Not easy, it will be another tuning/modding nightmare like the 6.4. Urea makes all that, that much worse as well And imho opinion I would hold off for a year or so before buying one. I think they will either be really good or like a 6 uh oh. But I think they learned there lesson from that. Thus the reason for the scorpion. They've bin fighting over that 6 leaker for a LONG time.

Update.....from some blueoval sources

"There is still some work to be done at the plant before either the 4.4L or 6.7L will be coming off the end of the line. Besides, Ford is committed to buying engines from Navistar through the end of 2009"

So, it looks like some MY2010 trucks will still have a 6.4L(job 1), but probally Job2 2010MY trucks will have the 6.7L.

True. But navistar also built really good diesels, and look at the 6.0

Just saying that the new 6.7 doesn't HAVE to be awesome, we just hope it is.

thats true enough, hopefully it will be a good one. I just hope the 6.7 warms up like the 6.0L and prevous diesels.

I would wait to buy one just because of all the trouble with the 6.4's. I hope that its another good motor the superduty will see, but Not sure if it will be all that great because of the single turbo. I also believe It will be quite some time before performance upgrades will be offered. Unless Spartan can work they're magic.

Budtoh I never said it WON'T be a good motor I said it MAY not be a good motor. The r&d took years for the 6.4 and they haven't had that much time with the 6.7. Plus north america has never developed a truck with urea technology in it. But who knows like I said it might be awsome.

Super08 what problems are you talking about with the 6.4s when they came out? And trust me it will be a long wait for tuning on this motor.... Trust me. I just hope there's more room for goodies under the hood(yeah right).
