Eighteen head bolts per side... (YES)

Looks like we'll need to port the intake runners

Single sequential BALL BEARING turbo w/ exhaust brake... water and oil cooled, with its own oil filter... 30 psi max

Air to water intercooling, two separate cooling systems (one for EGR)

EGR on one bank only, easier to block off

SCR (Urea) injection

Connecting rods look shockingly small

Piezos again

LOOKS INTERESTING, but a few questions arise in my mind.

Okay, after a closer look two things stand out as being possible issues: the first being the connecting rods with 45 degree caps, there is no way this could be stronger than the usual fare.

Andy the block is claimed 160 lbs lighter, that a lot of material gone, and like they said they have lopped it off in some parts, added in others. I don't think this is a major chunk of iron like the Cummins are.

On the positive, interesting turbo design (not sure if a siamese turbo can spool as quick as twins though). High tech fuel delivery. No power figures but must be class-leading (until the Duramax gets reworked, GM like being on top). Looks like a good flowing cylinder head design - appears almost like a duramax style hemi head - which is well known as the top flowing heads stock and aftermarket. And of course more head bolts!

Tranny is a non-issue, will be a top-quality unit.

Itīs a completely new block made of Compacted Graphite Iron which has much more strength. Thatīs why they can make it thinner.

The engine is claimed to be 160#'s lighter overall, remember, it also has aluminum cyl heads. The weight loss is not entirely from the block...
