I placed the order...

The order is officially in! I went with the F-350 CC DRW 4x4 King Ranch, white platinum/adobe exterior and black interior. Options include FX4, plow prep, moonroof, navigation, rapid heat, dual alternator, bed liner and block heater. On X-Plan it will be just about $60K.

After all the research including the help I've gotten on this board, I feel much better about the F-350 than the F-450. It's still overkill for what I need, but not quite as obscene as the 450. The 350 will be cheaper to insure, more efficient (3.73) and probably a marginally better ride (although I didn't mind the ride in the 450).

It's no doubt going to be a huge change from the vehicle I have now, but I psyched just thinking about all the things I can do with this monster. Thanks again for everyone's help with making the best choice. I'll keep you posted, and will definitely post pics as soon as I get them!

I like the black interior but seems like the black would really show the dust and dirt, the reason I went with the brown interior again.

Does anyone have any pics of the black without the king ranch pkg?

Rut, I think it really depends on where you live and what your do with you vehicle. I agree that black shows the dust more prominently than the tan. I also think that tan will highlight any little scuff or mark much more than the black. My theory is that a black interior needs only a vacuum to look like new since any stains/scuffs generally don't show. However it can take a lot more to keep tan looking like new. Dusting a black dash is very easy

Besides, the first thing I do is buy all-weather floor mats...the kind with "sills" to catch all the water & mud without getting to the carpet. They get washed with the car and keep the rug like new.

It's a good thing you're not buying a Toyota!
