I ordered limited slip for my DRW because my understanding is that limited slip actually provides better traction in the snow.

Limited slip is a must if you are on snow or ice. better yet is the selectable locker that is now avalibale. I have one truck with a standered diff and it pi$$es me off having to lock it in 4x4 to get out of my driveway.

Yep...that's what I was thinking. However, I didn't think the lockable diff was available in the DRW, is that correct? I believe the only choice was limited or non-limited in the 3.73 DRW configuration.

I would NEVER order a 4X4 with out Limited Slip (DRW)
or now E-Locker for SRW's.

Why would you not want ALL the possible traction that is available 4X2 or 4X4?

limited

Reason why i didn't order it,because in all my trucks that had it, I really didn't care for it and its more maintance and things to go wrong down the line.
If anything a Locker belongs back there, so its locker or go home. lol

I didn't like the clunking feel of when it kicked in. I personaly don't think they work the greatest. Now if i could have gotten a elocker, hell yeah!
Plus i hear clutch packs going bad, rearend making sounds and acting up because of it.
So i skipped it this time. I may put a air locker or something down the road if i have problems. But i'm very anal and nice to my trucks

Well, fortunately the ford LS isn't strong enough to chatter or grab. It is worth getting though; then you won't be stuck in wet grass with two tires spinning (DRW)... you'll have four.

The 4.30 LS diff on my 08 F450 didn't do jack...I don't think they are aggressive enough from the factory. I had one side in snow, the other on dry pavement. Truck would not move unless I put it in 4x4. Seemed like an open diff to me.
