single axle or dually

what would work best? had a conversation with a coworker earlier and thought it would be good to ask the general question here as well as doing some research. I'm after a truck for hauling, equipment, lengths of logs, hay, and horses. what would be the best work horse truck for something like this?

90' 1 Ton Dodge Diesel 4x4 Stock 12v. 5-speed Getrag. Custom 6'' Alcan Springs. 35'' Toyos.

2002 Dodge 2500 Cummins Automatic Stock.

I would go with a dually if your going to use it for that kind of work. Its better to have more truck than not enough truck if you ask me.

i agree. but i do all of my hauling with a single wheel in my sig up to 22K so it can go both ways but duallys are more stable in windy times
