Lift modification question for a First Gen. Dodge

What all would it entail to lift a first generation dodge to fit 38 plus inch tires underneath it? Suspension mods, does the engine or trans need to be moved? Stuff like that.

I've never looked into it before so I dont want to get into without gaining more knowledge on what needs to be changed.

Thanks in advance for any and all input, wasn't sure where to post the question.
