Can you describe the leak in a little more in detail? The leak could be from the power steering pump which is coupled to the back on the vacuum pump. It could also be the vacuum pump leaking oil from the timing case or a combination of both from the pump area. Also you could be leaking at a hose or the steering box.

This link might help if you need to get into the vacuum pump area. Like Bill said, we need a little more detail to help you.

I just replaced the gear box on mine. Its a 98 12 Valve but they should be similar. Mine was gushing out of the seal where the shaft splines with the pitman arm and goes back into the gear box. I bought a remanufactured one since it was cheaper than having it rebuilt.
