6spd-OD Manual. . .

I am working doing a 5.9-CTD swap into my 53' Stude M275er. . .
The 7spd-OD trans seems to a bit to large in all directions for the room i have, might still do some hack n chop to fit it if no other option is available . . .

few questions:

1. Will the 6spd bolt to the 12V-CTD ?

2. Will the 6spd handle the Commercial 12V-CTD's power out put ?

3. Will it with stand the strain of a truck that is 12,000LB's empty ?

6 Speed in the 24v was the NV5600 and the CR 6 speed is a G56

the 5600 holds more power then the G56 im pretty sure...

But you can't find parts for the 5600....they are out of production IIRC.

well a 12V-CTD will be going in front of it, it will be used in a truck the is 12,500LB's empty with a GVWR of 36,000LB's, Now the truck dose Have 6.72 Gears so it ain't like the transmission is really going to feel much if any of the load.

I'll be using a commercial 12V-5.9L which had a few different power settings.

5.9L 12V-CTD Commercial Ratings:
190hp n 520tq / 210hp n 600tq / 230hp n 660tq, some say they also offered a 250hp n 660tq as well but i haven't found such a Unit yet . . .

the about link is the transmission i was planning on using but i seem to be having some fitment issues, So i was looking for the the best 6spd option as a back up plan if this can't be made to work.
