I cannot speak on the swap itsself but just the parts,
94-96 47rh mechanically actuated tranny in autos
96-98? 47re electrical version of 47rh
I have a built auto and love it!
Both weak limks that need to be addressed before power mods.
KDP -dowel pin in timing gear that is prone to falling out. $35 tab kit
For simplisity of the swap I would stick to a 12v for less wiring. My $0.02
