Driveline Angles and Lifts

I put this in general discussion because its a general inquiry.

I was wondering if anyone on here was good with figuring whats need to angle the driveshaft correctly.

I dont believe the transmission mounting was dropped. Small possibility it may have been.

The rear axle sits with no angle of degree to it.

With a 6" Lift how much would you have to angle the rear axle up so the angles work well together since the transfercase isnt angled down.

Thanks for the help

2-4 degrees upward no more than 3 on front will mess up steering caster can go alot farther on rear, with a 6 inch lift 2 degrees should be fine. if its a skyjacker lift should already have 2 or 3 degree angle blocks installed on bottom of springs to correct drive line angle. front will have to go aftermarket arms that you can adjust.

Cool. Well thats the tricky part because whatever lift was on it before there was absolutely no taper to the lift blocks at all just a solid 3" block.

Eaton and Alison both have programs, that you put in all the angles and it will tell you if they are OK. You may have to phone around to find someone that has the program without it you can destroy your gear train in a big hurry. If they tell you, it is not needed and they know how to without the program ask for a power-train guarantee. Do it right or leave it alone, is a good way to do things. Just a thought!
