antifreeze?

hey guys,

i am about the change the antifreeze in my 04.5 2500 5.9

the owners manual says i need ethyene gylcol (sp?) but i'm curious to know if i can put dexcool in it.

dexcool is GM stuff.......you dont want gm stuff in a real truck!!! not sure what dex has for anti cavitation package....... i would run green stuff, with some of this!! http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RPO-01600

You have to be careful mixing those....some cannot be mixed and you'll create mud in your system. Make sure you pick-up a coolant that is safe for all brands to mix with. Evans is the best stuff on the market but if you want a good local option this stuff can be purchased at Walmart.....it's pre-mixed too:
