93 model questions

Hi all.
Ken here, n very new to the scene.
A couple quick questions please.
If my 93 auto is not computorized what are all the various sensors for and the big black box behind the drivers headlight that they all seem to run to?

I have a total of four sets of wires on the pump, two sensors on the intake which look a lot like a air temp, n possible water? as well as what looks like a crank sensor.

I want to put this motor in my F350 and need to know what everything does, so it goes smoothly.

I just bought a factory cummins adaptor for the C6, and have bracketsfabbed for accessories, so now just want to make sure everything else falls into place.

What do i need to keep, in order to run the motor? What needs to be adapted?

How does the heat solenoids hook up? Does anyone know how to adapt it to another vehicle?

Any good books on this motor out there. I have had no luck findin anything of use, so far.

Thanx in advance guys,

Hmm, 4 wires to the pump you say. I'm not familiar with the 1st gens but I do know that it is mechanical. At least two of the wires should be for a fuel shut off solenoid, the other two, I'm not sure of. The two running to the Intake are your power source for your heating grid, I'm assuming you are talking about the ones located at the base of the intake horn. As for that black box, I'd have to look at it to be sure, but it sounds like your main fuse box, which also contains several relays and such.
