torque converter...

has anyone gone to an aftermarket torque converter... any feedback, performance improvements, gas mileage...? presently stock 3/4 ton 4x4 with 3.54 gears. slight pump mods in the future and exhaust system...

Hughes is the cheapest I found. I was set on georends but after I talked to one of the builders at Hughes I feel confident that any non lockup converter that has the stall lowered properly can improve our drivablility. They said 375 to redo mine. 7-10 day turn around.
