sounds about right, but you forgot to mention your tire size or height. and are you on the governor or what rpm. you sure about that ratio.

nonIC'd with a 727 had 3:07's.

I have 3:07's with a 518 OD trans. Stock 235 tires. I top out at 85 to 88 MPH in 3rd. Speedo doesn't go high enough to see what OD would top at.

check you throttle linkage adjustment. It is a noted problem with these trucks to not get full throttle linkage travel. Also check your TV cable. If it bottoms out it will stop the throttle from going full to.

3.07 gears and 32 inch tall tires. . . Truck should run 100mph all day long. . .you should be able to savely run 2,750Rpm all day long no stop. . .if not 3,250rpm. . .

Like I said. Check the throttle linkage. It is a known problem on these trucks to be miss adjusted from the factory.

at what rpmm do you hit 70 mph? You could always check your rear gear ratio by pulling the rear cover, counting the ring gear teeth, and the pinion teeth, and then divide the number of ring gear teeth by the number of pinion teeth.

1992 W250-P-pump and some extra air, gone, but not forgotten.
