1990 12v

I am now the proud new owner of a 1990 Dodge Ram D-350 single cab 2wd Dually. I got it for a birthday present to myself. It needs a power steering pump and an alternator. It has a little blow by and a few oil leaks @ oil pan and rocker boxes (valve covers) other than that she's tight and sound as a whistle. Its an automatic but she's my first lol. It has a big AFE intake with stock turbo and exhaust. It has a Banks power pack...i don't know what that is. All I know is she has no turbo lag, she's fast, and she blows smoke.

I was hoping some of you gurus could help me out.
what is the Banks power pack?
What and where is the best place for rings and gaskets?
What exhause or any other upgrades should i do?

get injectors,dv's,the fuel screw and gaskets and all i was thinkin xtremediesel.com

97' Cummins 2500 Gauges from glowshift (EGT, boost) Fuel pressure gauge from auto-meter. Stage 2 airbox, boost elbow, barrels & plungers turned.Custom fuel plate,Airdog 150gph.AFC mods & 3K GSK.SDX injectors (stage 3 140hp).Drilled wastegate.Converted to a NV4500 with a double disc. Being restored from the ground up

01' Cummins 2500 (dads) with a Hotrod pump,100hp injectors, Fass 150, Edge juice with attitude,also plug and power chip,stage 2 ice box,4 1/2 exgaust pipe,HX40

The Power Pak from Banks is a full install kit that has intercooler, intake, exhaust, turbo housing for the exhaust side(quicker spoolup), and a bunch of little stuff. They dont show the 89-93 on their site though.


my daily driver:67 F100, 300 4V, cammed, 4 spd.
or, 08 Subaloser Forester, 2" lift.
work rigs: 94 IH 4900, DT466(originally 230hp), #0 fuel plate, tighter gov springs, 22* timing
or, 06 IH 7400, DT466E, 300hp

congrats on the new truck. i have generally found my best birthday presents are the one's from me, to me! oh yeah, if the old girl hasnt a pyro, do your self a favor and get one.

I had a 92 dodge cummins 12 valve it overheated because the belt tensioner brake and i didnt relize it after that it slowly got reallybad blow bi and then it started to huff blue smoke out the exhaust two weeks later the truck blew up so get that taken care of and dont run the snot out it until its right...

I found on the exhaust the best way to go is 4inch exhaust off the turbo and then bring it to five inch into a six inch tip it

Injectors the 90hp PPE injectors are the bomb

if you wana get crazy put a P-Pump injector pump on it then that truck will fly

if you can get your hands on a 3rd gen cummins turbo witha t-3 flang itl make about 37lb of boost

sweet truck, i found a company that sells the banks intercooler kit http://home.gci.net/~northerndiesel/index.htm it's listed 3/4 of the way down the page under the banks stuff. It would be a good thing to look into.
