Need a little more info. nonIC or IC'd??

$2500 is a decent price if the body isn't rotted off. Your area is like mine. Just about center of the rust belt.

89 to 91.5 year model trucks were nonintercooled with getrags or 727 automatic's. The 727 trucks came with 3:07 gear ratio's in them. Because the 727's are not a OD trans.

91.5 to 93 year model trucks were intercooled with getrags and 518 automatic's. The 518 is a OD trans.

The getrags last pretty decent. The main issue with them is the design. They use tapered roller bearing. when they wear the trans starts to make noise. When you hear it that means time to repair. If not you will be replacing it.

the auto's aren't to bad. The main issue is Dodge threw a very loose converter in. If the engine is stock the converter feels all right. Once you turn the power up just a little. The converter slips bad.

When the converter slips it gets hot, put a trans temp gauge on, look at the charts on fluid life and decide how often you want to change the fluid.

The Getrag is a 5spd manual, 727 is a 3spd auto and the only auto in non-intercooled trucks from 1989-1991.5. The A518 is an automatic that came in auto equipped and intercooled trucks from 1991.5 to 1993

1992 W250-P-pump and some extra air, gone, but not forgotten.

2003 SVT Cobra

1984 Chevy K10
