You want it running? Locally a '94, 12V, auto, running, but had some major problems....metal in oil and motor sounds like it have has hunks of piston no longer attached to anything, for $600.

I was figuring more along the lines of "UGLY but runs" . . .

say like 380-450K miles truck is shot engine/trans functioning but should be rebuilt very soon . . .

What i have found in the past with other project's that you can get an engine and trans in a junk truck for less money then you can just by buying the engine n trans as rebuildable cores already removed . . .

Project;
AMC/Jeep J/20 truck+12V-5.9l+NV4500 5spd = Beastly Brute of a truck.

look for a beat up 94-95 5spd for the nv4500. should be able to find on for 2-3k. you might even get lucky and find an HD package with D60/D80.

Just found one for $2500.

1994 5 speed 2500, runs great, body isn't that bad at all. Interior has a few stains, a ripped seat, and a duct-taped center console. 250k miles.

I basically want a Dodge truck with the 160hp Diesel engine i can haul out to the farm, stab the loader forks through the side of it and filp it upside down and cut the gut's out of it. . .

I found a better way to do this, instead of buying a Junk 92" n older 4x4 dually diesel, I'm going to buy a complete running driving unit . . . either as the dually pickup or a dually with a flat bed either way, anywho and simply swap the Full sized Jeep cab onto it, then add the diamond plate flat bed if it isn't already equipped with one . . .

This way i can drive the truck a while swap on my 19.5's adjust any gearing and or power setting's and have the power n speed, then all i have to do is drop in the body i want.

that way instead of trying to a Whole rust free 74'-76' Jeep J/20, i would only need the cab n clip expanding my search to any Jeep J-Truck cab n clip 1963-1988, making much easier n cheaper to do.

As now instead of buying to truck's n swapping parts back n forth, i'm buying one good mechanically sound truck and swapping a cab n clip over. . .

this sound like a better Battle plan ?
