89-91.5 with TF727 auto had D70 rear, and D61 front with 3.07 gears. All others had D70 rear, D60 front.

1992 W250-P-pump and some extra air, gone, but not forgotten.

the regular D60 and D70 can be geared with anything you want. its the D61 in the Non-OD autos that throws a wrench in the works. Just get a truck with FACTORY overdrive and you should be fine. All factory ODs had 3.55, and I have heard of a few 4.11 geared trucks, but they seem to be rarer.

Just checked the gear shop only offered a 4.11's for the D61's they had 3.07's but they discoed them . . .

I was hopping to run a 4.30-4.33 gear ratio . .. looks to be either 4.11's or 3.07's. . .

whats the chances of running twin 80's ?

factory yes...but if you take it to a driveline shop, ANY set of gears can be added, from like 2. something all the way to 7.something. Look at Yukon, or Superior's website.

Yukon gear's;

Dana-60 4.30;
http://www.yukongear.com/ProductDeta...px?ProdID=3710

Dana-80 4.30:
http://www.yukongear.com/ProductDeta...px?ProdID=4028

So my options are:
buy a D61 /D70 truck swap out both axles with D60 front & D80 rear.
or
buy a D60 / D70 truck and swap the D70 for a D80 to get 4.30 gear's.

D61-4.11s:
http://www.yukongear.com/PartsList.a...gs+%26+Pinions

D60:
http://www.yukongear.com/PartsList.a...gs+%26+Pinions

D70:
http://www.yukongear.com/PartsList.a...gs+%26+Pinions

D80:
http://www.yukongear.com/PartsList.a...gs+%26+Pinions

only gear option from yukon or randy.

other wise using stock factory axles my options are:
D61 n D70 = 4.11's.
or
D60 n D70 = 4.11's or 4.56's.

So i'll have to run a D60 front n D80 rear which will give 8 lug front hubs and 10lug rear hubs.
or
I have to run twin D80's.

how would one go about making a D80 rear into a D80 steer ?

From Precision Gear, D70
http://www.precisiongear.com/dana70.htm
They have 3.54 to 5.86, and I know I have seen somewhere 7.2 something.

For the Dana 60, same place

3.54 to 5.13

You would have to cut the knuckle assemblies off of a D60, and weld them on a D80 housing. Or I think Peterson's 4wheeldrive put one in their Ultimate Superduty. I think they got it from Dynatrac. Heres the link
