Auto to manual swap

Have a chance to pick up a 91 4x4 with 150,000 miles for $2,000. But it has an auto and I want to swap it out for a manual. What can I expect to pay for a used getrag trans and what problems would I run into other than drivelines, crossmember, and clutch pedal. Thanks

1997 Dodge 2500 4x4 auto, 4 inch exhaust, airaide intake, 0 plate, boost elbow, 4k gsk, trans, boost, and pyro gauges, built trans with billet converter, 16 cm exhaust housing.
1991 Dodge W250 4x4 manual, 3200 gsk, 4 inch straight piped, advanced timing 1/8", pump turned up all the way.
1997 F-250 Power Stroke-manual trans, 4" exhaust, TS 6 position chip with PHP Tunes, DIY intake, shimmend regulator.

The getrag with a Tcase would run you around 1k. If the truck has a 727 in it. You wouldn't need driveshafts. If the truck has a 518 trans. Drive shaft work would be needed. The front would need to be shorted. The rear would need lengthened.

Clutch/ brake pedals are just a bolt in. No big deal there.

Clutch Hyd's. If you use 1st gen hyd's. Its a straight bolt in also. If you go to later hyd's. Just let me know. I can tell you what is different between them.

I just did a auto to G56 6spd swap last month.

93 W350 w/duals, fuel pin turned, 6X.018" injectors, 4" exhaust, 3" air intake horn, HX40/16, G56 /SBC Con-OFE, 307's axles' 2" skyjacker lift, B&W flatbed

Is the transfer case diffrent in the auto trucks than the manual trucks then?

Transfer cases should be the same. It will probably cost you more than you paid for the truck to swap it to a manual. If you haven't bought it yet, I would hang on and wait for a manual to come along. It took me almost a year to find mine.

1992 W250-P-pump and some extra air, gone, but not forgotten.

The Tcases have different input shafts.

All Dodge CTD auto Tcases use a 23 spline input shaft. It doesn't matter on the year model.

A Dodge CTD stick shift Tcase uses a larger 29 spline input shaft.

Thats why I mentioned getrag with Tcase as a package.

Just have to watch the classified adds around the diesel sites. Sooner or later they do show up.

If you want to use a later model trans. That isn't a problem. You can use all the way up to a G56. The big item is that 29 spline Tcase. Once you get you hands on that. Any other Dodge CTD trans can be made to fit pretty easy.

93 W350 w/duals, fuel pin turned, 6X.018" injectors, 4" exhaust, 3" air intake horn, HX40/16, G56 /SBC Con-OFE, 307's axles' 2" skyjacker lift, B&W flatbed
