2 questions high idle and cold air intake

high idle who has them what are they for and why do i need it

#2 want to put cold air intake in which one

fill out your sig. i want to know how to do the high idle my self. as for cold air intake you can go with S&B,AEM,or you can do a BHAF but stay away from K&N,

2001 CC LB 2500 48RE with TQlockup CAI, 5"TBE,Quadzilla Adrenaline with V2,and BD pulse XXX 100hp stix, phatshaft 66mm .leveled on 305/70/16's
under the knife for rebuild

high idles can be used for faster warm ups on cold days and if you had a PTO you could use it for that. or if your truck over heated and you need it to cool down without sittin in it and holding it up you just set the high idle so it will suck more air and not have to sit there. lol it sucks i did it today about 10 times pulling a 22K trailer today up a 8% grade

Is that normal for you ^ Ive never had a problem with anything around that weight. Might want to look into cleaning your rad.

yea that deffinitly doesnt sound healthy...

High Idle...its sweet, i love it....easy way= SMARTY, cheap way= A Brick....

yeah my factory oil vent bottle slatters everything everywhere i think that it is collecting oil on the rad and dust cause it will over heat really easy plus the souring EGTS staying hot for a bit it will overheat real bad. trans is always fine i have a chevy s-10 rad for a cooler with a fan off a honda never get over 160 even when 108 outside and in traffic
