Want To Lower Idle

I know the engine is electronic and it can't be done like the 12V's. I was at cummins and they tried to adjust it but was unsucessful because they said it was because of the dodge programing in the truck. I know dodge has nothing to do such a thing. No specif reason but just personal prefference, I want to lower my idle on my truck. Has anyone ever tried this, tried to get it done, or knows any tricks to do it. Does anyone know anyone that could helpe me in this department. It has got to be possable to do this and I really want to get it done. Anyone and everyone with knowledge or knows something or somebody, please chime in and help me please.
Thanks to all you guys on TDG!!!!!!!

I'm not a Cummis expert, but there has to be a programmer out there that can do this. I know EFI live (Duramax) allows you to. Sorry I cant be more help.

Just a personal prefference. Just to be different. I am not spending big money and p-pumping my truck just to get the idle lowered. There has got to be a way.

there is but you have to have the cummins software and depending on the ecm either download a new custom payload or modify the internal engine paramiters i think you could take it to a cummins shop n try but i doubt dodge would know how to do it unless there diesel tech was really good

Been to cummins and they couldn't do it for some reason. They said they think it has something to do with the dodge pcm or something in the mopar computer system. I personally don't know.

well thats odd only thing could be the apps/tps not being able to adjust or the auto trany not wanting to deal with the lower RPM. Either way im sry i couldnt help im no dodge tech i just use cummins software to program ag engines and we have full controll over the parameters on those.
