check to see if you have any play in the driveshaft (up and down where the shaft goes into the differential). I had the same issue and my usual mechanic said to just keep and eye on it. After a while, I was going through 3 quarts of diff fluid per week, then the bearings blew out one day and I had to get a new rear.
If I would have fixed it earlier, it would have just taken a new pinion seal. So ya might want to try that

I know this is a little old, but has anyone replaced a pinion seal, kinda getting tired of worrying about this thing? What tools are needed and about how long should it take?

Will napa have the bearing as well as the seal? Also what do you usually use to pull the bearing out?

Make sure your diff breather is clean and allowing air to vent through it also...
