Fuel pressure = oil pressure

A month ago I had my injector pump replaced. A week ago I was rollin down the road and my truck died. Had fuel pressure! Fuel to the filter, fuel to the VP, fuel out of the VP. No start!

Brought it back to the place that warrentied the pump they put on.

They called yesterday and said that the oil pressure would drop at idel, and that the oil pressure sendor is linked to fuel pressure. (not really true. the stock gauge would drop, then I placed an aftermarket gauge and it never displayed a drop in presure)

I understand that oil pressure is needed to start, but why would this cut my truck while driving?

Either way they are replacing my oil pressure switch/gauge...

Any thoughts? thanks, Pat

if your truck reads low oil pressure it will turn off to save the motor. get yourself a new pressure sender to make the computer happy
