hole in tcase

my buddy put a hole in his 99 5.9l and we would like to know if there are multible options for new tcases do to he is broke down 3000m from home and we want to make sure we get correct one we like to know if we have to worry about differant gear ratios or stuff like that

I believe that they had 2 different transfer cases. AP3 and AF3.
Don't know what the differences were. (Maybe PTO takeoff???)

one is standard the other is HD, they will interchange, just count the input splines. auto is 23 spline, mt is 29 spline...... the GM 241 has either 18 or 32 splines but will not work because its pass. drop......

Yep, just get a dodge NP241. And like mentioned above, make sure its for the right transmission. Putting holes in them sucks and unfortunately, its not unheard of.

i forgot, you can make any dodge 241 work with either at or mt..... just swap the input shaft and bearing.
