LP question

I just replaced the factory pump with a FASS system in my 2000 24 valve. When the truck is cold, it will fire right up. But when I drive it and get the motor hot, it will give me a long crank time on restart. I have a fuel pressure light on the truck, and it never comes on. I have only seen it light up once, and it is set to light up at less than 7 psi. Any thoughts???

Did the original lift pump fail? Sounds like it may have done damage to the VP44.

Also I would put a fuel pressure gauge on there and not rely on the "it's too late" light. I was lucky and caught my lift pump on start up with under 5 PSI and she sat until my Airdog went in.

you need to know what your fuel pressure is and if your lift pump failed then you may of killed your vp too. try bumping the key to get fuel pressure up wait till lift pump turns off then start it.
