edge or vp44????

I have noticed ever since my lift pump went out and i replaced it my truck is getting slower and slower. I had it throw a code a while back for the vp44. I had turned my edge box up to blow black smoke all over a young punk in a Ford that was trying to race me and that's when it threw the code. When I got home I pulled the code up on the internet and when I went back out to make sure I had written it down right it was gone. I was wondering if yall thought it was the pump or my edge pro comp goin bad?

I stopped at a store on the way home and turned the truck off then down the switch thing back and forth 3 times to get the code. I wrote the code down when I was sitting there and when I got home I pulled the codes up on the internet. When I saw that it was the code for the pump I went back out to check to make sure I wrote it down correctly. When I done the switch 3 times the code didn't come up so I cranked the truck and the check engine light wasn't on anymore. I looked for the code where I had written it down and couldn't find it today so I don't know the code exactly. I was wondering if u guys thought that it was the pump or my chip goin bad or something else making it through the code?

What kind of FP are you running? How low was it for how long before you replaced it...

well if your lucky if its just the comp box..one day i turned mine on and it was a giant turd and ran better without it on, so i sent it in and the harness and they had to send me a new one, said it wasn't fixable or something., think they stuck me a little under 400 for that and a new harness. when my vp died, it gave no warnings or codes, it just died. but i didn't have a fp guage at the time so mabey it was slowly dyin and i just coulnd't tell.
