fuel pooling in pistons

ok since my engine has dropped a valve the truck has been sitting for 3 months when i pulled the head off there was about 1/4 inch of fuel sittin in the pistons. is this normal? also there was like fine fine shiny metal flakes like sand size or smaller sittin in the bowl of every piston any suggestions?

2001 CC LB 2500 48RE with TQlockup CAI, 5"TBE,Quadzilla Adrenaline with V2,and BD pulse XXX 100hp stix, phatshaft 66mm .leveled on 305/70/16's
under the knife for rebuild

ok i had my injectors checked out and and the pump my pump is shot so i had them clean my injectors they are fine.

2001 CC LB 2500 48RE with TQlockup CAI, 5"TBE,Quadzilla Adrenaline with V2,and BD pulse XXX 100hp stix, phatshaft 66mm .leveled on 305/70/16's
under the knife for rebuild
