FEED BACK PLEASE

Thinkin of buildin a tow rig for my show truck...wnating to put a 5.9 cummins in a 1979 chevy c60... pretty much buildin my own baby semi... but will a 5.9 have enough power to pull a trailer with up to 2 one ton trucks.. and be able to maintain decent fuel economy????

If you were going to say a 12v then I would have suggested the 8.3 but I and sure that if a 5.9L can push some of the motor homes its in I dont see and issue. I would go CR if you are going 24v though

If you are wanting to stay with a B series(what Dodge uses) the 12v would be the easiest to get installed and running as it is a very mechanical motor. I just wondered why you choose the VP44 injection pump with the 24v. I think if it were me I would do either a 5.9CR or a 12v. if you wanted to go bigger find and older 8.3L
