vp44 issue?

About a month back my truck threw the 0216 code, I quit driving it immediately and it has been sitting until i was able to scrap enough $$$ to get a new vp44, i just checked the truck today and it is no longer throwing the 0216 code but is now throwing 0230, so im trying to figure out if the vp44 is shot and needs be replaced or if i just need a new lift pump. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont remember all the codes mine had when my LP/VP died. It is possible that the LP just went and the VP is still ok. First off I would get a AirDog or FASS and give it a go, but there is still a chance that VP is roasted. If it were me and your not sure, get you a good Lift pump ( be it AD or Fass.) and give it a whirl. worst case your gonna need a VP.

Your going to need a new lift pump so spend just a little more and get one that will supply the fuel you need. Then if you still need a VP change it.
