I installed a remote starter on mine, that has 2 different key-off run times. Pit-stop is programable between 15-20-30 minutes, while the Turbo cool down is only 3 minutes. My fob has two different key-off buttons, one for pit-stop, and one for cool down. I will look at the brand/model number when I get home later.

03 3500HD 6x6 starting the add ons.

Interesting. I saw some from Greddy and HKS that would let you lock and shut the truck then it would turn off between 1 and 3 minutes

They use to be real popular in class eights, Unless you pull heavy loads, and live at the top of a hill and pull hard all the way they are not necessary anymore. If you slow down before a stop and get out and do a walk around your truck before you shut it off you do not need to have one.

I usually just sit and chat in the truck before I get out or play with the radio. So far everything stays pretty cool.

Waste of money if your putting it on a standard trans truck. Who wants to leave their truck parked in neutral with the park brake on all the time?

2000 CTD, HOT Juice w/Attitude, Smarty, Mach 2 injectors (105 HP), 4" exhaust, BHAF, SB Clutch, FASS 150 ARP 12mm studs, stage 3 snow kit.

2008 f350/96 cummins in the works.

Its a waste because if your just going to sit in your truck till it cools off you don't need one. If you dont sit in your truck like your late for work or something and jump out you can't just leave it in gear while it idles to cool down, thus the leaving the truck in neutral while your not around it. I have a timer on the edge box that i have but i never use it because im not going to walk away from my truck knowing the only thing keeping it there is the park brake.
