When towing my nv4500 is getting up to 252 degrees, I just replaced transmission and I want to make this one last. What can I do ? Guys around here are running an extra quart of oil in trans., is this a good idea? Who makes the finned pto covers? thanks

ya lil extra oil is good but not to much as the oil helps pull the heat from the trans oil also retains heat theirs a point of diminishing returns,as for the coolers. they are called "fast coolers" google it. By adding the coolers you are on the right track as you are not so much as adding oil but adding capacity which is more important and more effective

I am running coolers on mine and it has helped out alot! They are cheap and easy to install. It is the expense of the fluid that makes it expensive. But you will like it!
