Broken dipstick

I broke the handle off my my dipstick tried to put a screw in the top to extract the rest of it with no luck. Figured I would take the tube off and push it out from bottom but it looks like it is pressed into the oil pan. Does any one know how to get it out?

If the 24v was done the same as my '92, there is a steel insert in the block that the plastic tube is attached to.

Remove the clamp at the bottom and cut the tube vertically to free from the insert with a knife.

Will most likely need to pull the stater to get at it easier. I did, though the insert was broke on my truck. Puked a LOT of oil out!

The tube looked like it was pressed into pan. So I called local mechanic (what I should have done in first place because he is quite a few handy little tricks up his sleeve for odd ball stuff like this ). He told me to heat a ribbed nail and poke it in there and let it cool and it will pull right out. Worked like a charm!
