2002 cummins oil leak

well guys I went to look at a truck today, 02 quad cab long bed, only 122k. new injection pump and upgraded fuel pump, after looking over the out side of the truck I popped the hood and saw oil spray on the coolant over flow tank, I asked the guy where the oil was coming from, he said that its was coming from the blow by tube and being sprayed on the tank from the fan, he had said that it was a common problem with the 5.9's and that the tube was made too short.

has anyone else heard of this, and is there a pretty easy fix for it?

Almost none at all. I wassent able to get a good look down at the motor to see where else the oil may have been coming from. I'm thinking the front cover may have a small leak from when the pump was done and the fans blowing it from there
