what is the most realistic tuner for a 99

I have a 99 24 valve, it feels gutless, it has a reman injector pump and an aftermaket lift pump. The fuel pressure stays above 20 psi under full throttle. I don't have a boost or egg gauge yet. Has a muffler delet. The tranny is built. Everything else is stock.

Like 50 to 75 horse would be good. I also haul heavy a lot

What do you guys recommend?

Most of the tuners out there are good.
If I recall correctly that is a 215 HP engine. A tuner is a great place to start. A stock ISB pump only likes 300 to 325 RWHP. RV275 injectors should give you about 40-45 more hp. Or you could change your injector nozzles but if you go larger than 75 hp nozzles you will see smoke and higher egt'.

If I just wanted a little more performance, I would get gauges, 4inch exhaust, 40 or 75 hp nozzles, and a edge comp box. That should be a start.

Edge comp or edge EZ and RV275's are an awesome mild street/towing set up. The best mileage I ever got was that combo with the Drag comp box.

Hi Jay!
The first thing I did to my '99 was to add a Van Aaken timing module. The gent I bought it from dyno'd before and after installation and saw an honest 70 horse increase.
It really woke up my rig!

'99 Ram quad cab dually long bed auto, early Van Aaken, Pacbrake, BHAF, Mach 1.5's, TST PMII, mystery switch, Magnaflow 4" system, Lite rider tonneu, home made 2 low kit, Reese 20k fiver hitch, etc...
