Benefits of low sulfer diesel

Are there any? I know that lubricity is greatly decreased in the process of removing the sulfer, but bio-d or other additives can make up for that. Then I had this thought, sulfer combines with other molecules and generally forms acids. Do the acids cause any problems, eating and cylinder walls and what have you, and having acids blow by into your crankcase deteriorating the oil and eating at the bearings.

This is all hypothetical, but couldn't low sulfer diesel extend engine life, once lubricity is accounted for?

just curious what you guys think about this!
