Map sensor and box?

Ok here goes, this is for a buddy of mine. The truck is an 01' Cummins HO. He has 100 horse injectors. He also recently purchased some sort of Quadzilla box, similar to the Edge EZ. Supposedly hooks up the same way. I know that it hooks into the Map sensor. He said his motor was made in 00' and that the box was made for an 01'. He said that the connectors were different. So he pulled the map sensor and rigged something up an got the box hooked up and truck running good.

Now he has a problem of the truck lopes really bad, and will cut out and dies. Doesn't know why. He thinks he may have broken the map sensor when he put it back in. Would the truck even run at all if he did? Help please. Thanks

Kyle

I don't know, tomorrow if I remember I'll disconnect mine and see what happens.
