Head Studs

I'm getting ready to do head studs on my truck just to prepare for injectors and a turbo in the future. I know i'm going to go with ARP but i was wondering if there was anything else i should do when I install these like a head gasket or anything else. Also where is the best place to purchase these from?

2000 CTD, HOT Juice w/Attitude, Smarty, Mach 2 injectors (105 HP), 4" exhaust, BHAF, SB Clutch, FASS 150 ARP 12mm studs, stage 3 snow kit.

2008 f350/96 cummins in the works.

You will want a new head gasket for sure, also might as well replace the coolant while you're at it. A new set of exhaust manifold gaskets is a good idea as well.

As for buying them I would post it in the Vendor's forum on here I'm sure someone will be more than happy to give you a good price on either a set of ARP's or Haisley studs.

Are Haisley studs as good?

Yep!

They are all about the same price though.

Used to be that Haisley's didn't have the allen head cut into the top of the stud. You had to jam two nuts together to drive the stud into the block. Now all of Haisley's studs come with the allen head cut into them so they are as easy to install and just as strong as the ARP's.

If I remember I think I gave $400 for mine last year?

Itt probably would be a good idea to do a .010 or .020 marine gakset.
