What codes is it showing?

Sounds a lot like another dead VP or some issues with the connection of the pump tap on the Edge box.

The codes will help us figure out what's up but you could also take off the Edge box and see if the problem is still there.

I'll bet that's the right answer. Unless your 100% positive you got a APPS code.

A dead VP44 will almost always pop and/or miss when reved. Dump some Marvel in there, sorry if I sound like a spokes person for Marvel, that's all that works in my truck.

Also do any of you feel like the ULSD is lubricated and or the additives that are supposed to be added for lubricity maybe don't get added due to the market and profit margin of fuel these days?

They probably add something but it's probably not much. My truck had problems before ULSD. So I don't know. But Marvel has been like trial and error for me. I've tried every, and I mean EVERY fuel additive out there. The only one to work for me has been Marvel, which is wierd because it is also one of the cheapest, and easiest found.

I'm about ready to start rebottling it up jacking up the price by 3 and calling it something else, not really. But about other people do that.

I would say it is the VP, the diafram is probably damaged. Usually it wont allow the timing to change causeing the poping.

When my truck does the dead pedal it just acts like a dead pedal. So if all it's doing is losing timing, wouldn't I be blowing out black smoke (which I'm not) I don't know, I'm bunting ideas.

The popping is due to timing not advancing. The dead pedal is the electronics failing.
