Semi wheels 22.5's

anyone running semi wheels? what are your thoughts on them? I want to run a set of Freightliner 22.5's on an 01 6spd 3500, simply for looks and tire life. I haul (heavy). And have asked a few people about them but never recieved any "real" answers. The truck is a 2wd, is lifting necessary? Someone fill me in

How would I be able to calibrate the speedo? etc etc

I am not sure about the lift, but I do know that with 2.5" leveling spacers in the front end of mine, the 315-75-16 would rub the wheel well liner at full steer. As far as the speedo, you have to know the revolutions per mile for the tire being used. Take it to the **ealer, have them hook up and go into the ABS, and set the 'Ping rate' for the ABS gear to tire's rpm. My dealer said it would have cost me $25 to do it, but since I showed them how to do it, no charge.

03 3500HD 6x6 starting the add ons.

the tire size I would need to run is a 255/70/22.5 I believe, I'm mainly curious if the truck will be "sluggish" after the swap

it may be because the tires raise the gear ratio, simply because the tires cover much more distance in one revolution compared to the old ones. for instance on the calculator on here i figured out a set of 255/70/22.5 w/ a rear end ratio of 3.55. At 3k rpm you would be going 91 something (Direct drive not O/D) then calculated that w/ the tires, in effect your rear ratio is now 2.18. So yes it would definately lower your gears making it slower off the line, but faster at top end.
