DTT Transmission

I have found a guy wanting to sell his DTT tranny and get a Suncoast. I believe he is pushing about 800-850hp. He drag races with it. He said that after about 2 runs it starting slipping. He made about 6 more runs and it did the same thing. That night he got home and took it out. He only wants $1,600 for it. It also has billet input and output shafts. Would it still be a good deal, even though it slipped, for my truck?

If it has billet shafts it is worth it.The shafts alone are worth 1300 by there selves.I would have it taken apart and look at the direct clutches, before you put it in,but sounds like a smokin deal.

Yeah if it is slipping I would take it apart, or send it into DTT to have it checked out.

Oh, I'm definitly gonna check it out before I put it in. I thought it sounded like a good deal, just wanted to get some feed back.

DTT is pretty good with warranty and customer service as well. But I don't know if that carries over to a new owner. But give them a call, they are very friendly.
