Clutch ? w/ edge/smarty

i have an edge juice with attitude and i am buying a smart for the purposes of a little more power when needed and especcially for speedo recalibration. i hear an edge/smarty is enough to overcome the stock clutch's grabbing ability, but can u start out with ur smarty at full power and then bump ur edge up as u row thru the gears? what im getting at is i want the edge/smarty for speedo/fuel mileage increase but want to be able to use the full power potential when i want.

example: on the drag strip i start with edge at say stage 3, smarty at top setting. by 4th gear i could reach over an bump my edge to stage 5 and would likely by then be able to use all the power w/o the clutch slipping. sound about right? i know it is alot easier for a clutch to slip in 1st, 2nd and eve 3rd gear, but i would think i could use the full power by 4th an 5th.

other question is, with the juice on mileage and the smarty on mileage, willi likely see a decent increase over stock, or does the edge cancel the smarty's attempt to inc mileage and vice versa?

From what I understand, the clutch slips more in the higher gears than it does in the lower gears.

I have the Edge J/A on my 03 and just with that my clutch is almost gone. If i'm in 6th gear and runnin 55mph and bump my Edge to 5, by the time I get to 100mph the clutch is slipping so bad that it defuels.

Can you not adjust you MPH on your Attitude?

I also have the juice w/attitude and just that alone is enough to slip my stock clutch when i get on it. Adding a smarty will make this problem even worse, just buy a south bend and all your worries will go away.

2000 CTD, HOT Juice w/Attitude, Smarty, Mach 2 injectors (105 HP), 4" exhaust, BHAF, SB Clutch, FASS 150 ARP 12mm studs, stage 3 snow kit.

2008 f350/96 cummins in the works.
