front axle seals

When I pulled my hub off, my axle dropped on the seal, and it started leaking. What are the chances of it being ok? That side of the truck was on the downhill side of the drive way, would that have anything to do with it leaking? I really don't want to have to take the whole damn thing apart because of inexperience(stupidity)laugh

My buddies truck leaked for a week after a axle removal then it just stopped.
And yes he still has fluid in it.
Maybe you'll luck out too.

If it did ruin the seal you can just replace it using silcone gasket just like the rear or front diffs...its what I have on mine and it works well and is easy to take off and on, and you don't have to worry about a messed up gasket.
