Exclamation My MPG beats yours

:smoke I get 30mpg highway and 22 city. I have many little tricks.... haha. oh and the only mod is a 4" exhaust. I took out my K&N about 4,000 miles ago because it was dirtying my intake tube so i researched it and found out how bad it is to have a K&N if you plan on keeping your truck awhile.

Well if you are telling the truth, tell us what you do. It would be cool if you had some truck info in your sig.

Just thinking, if you are using that little fuel, you aren't going to be making any smoke :

Never made regular cab, short bed dodge diesels. But ya, that could do it. A regular cab 2wd 6sp/HO with 3.55 would do over 30 (que in Jponder). I think my reg cab 2wd will 30 but it's modded though. Mine does 23ish around town.

But alot of people drive around completely unmodded 4x4 1ton dually crew cab Diesels and claim they are getting 30-45 MPG. Or maybe they have a screwed up over head. Alot just like to talk, it happens.

That'll do it, for my truck and a few others i've drivin there is a big MPG difference between 50 and 55 MPH. The times I've tested there probably a 2-3 MPG difference.

Probably wasn't stock. People have been doing all kinds of wierd conversions with RAMs. Extend to Crew. 4x2 to 4x4. SRW to DRW and visa versa. I kind of want convert mine from 4x1 to 4x2.

Arrow haha yall are almost right

i have a 2001 5 speed ex. cab. 2wd and i cant smoke even when i want to unless i add some fuel additive. As for not smoking I do however, make it clear when im in town....... haha....... my 4" exhaust is loud..... i race in town perhaps thats why my city mileage sucks....... but ya my highway mileage is awesome.... i stay between 55-65 most everywhere i can..... the cummins sweet spot is exactly 62mph with the 5 speed or 1850rpms in your highest gear. My best mileage was 34mpg and that was from crane to home... about 220 miles. I try so hard not to play hard in town but when some lil rice burner or gas truck thinks they are the **** i like to show them who's boss...... btw my neighbors stopped talking to me when i got this truck........... but hey i love it....... Im looking to add mods but im worried about the cold air intake...... herd many horror stories about the K&N letting too much dirty air in........ has $$$ long term effects..... :smoke
