Turbo!!!!

I drive my 02 dodge everyday and everywhere but its a sledpuller on the weekends.. Im looking for a good street turbo for the road but still be in the 2.8 class on the weekends. I have bought a huge set of injectors that I cant install til the turbo is on, way to big for stock turbo!! What are some of the turbos you guys run??? I have found some good deals on a bht3b,
s400 "b2" and a used ht60, but im afraid the may have to much lag... what do you guys think?????

Anything much bigger than a 64/14 or 64/16 is going to be hard to drive on the street with big sticks. How big of injectors did you buy? They could possibly be too big to daily drive without it being a total pain.

What kind of egt's do you see now? have you looked at a head gasket or studs yet? seems like your current setup would make quite a bit of boost.

I have not sled pulled with the 240's cause it will get to hot but the 100hp and 100% fuel on the redline it has hit 1300 almost every pull... I really hope that my head gasket holds for a while longer.. I have hit 50 lbs of boost on every pull this year. If I do a gasket then I will do every all at once-- fire ring and gasket, springs, studs, lifters and a cam!!!

Do you have your wastegate blocked off to hit that kind of boost? If you are only hitting 1300* then there is no way you have enough fuel to make that kind of boost with the gate working. Is the pyro pre or post turbo?

Yeah, those EGT's seem awfully low to be honest with you. I can Hit 1600 unloaded with my drag comp and RV275's, And I also have a bigger exhaust housing than you, if you're still running your stock turbo that is.

Anyways, Those turbos you are talking about are really way too big to run as a single. There are some people that run the Aurora 5000 as a single, but even that isn't very street friendly, and those are smaller than the Ht3b or B2. My friend runs the Aurora 5000 on his CR, and it sucks on the street, even with Big sticks stacked boxes and Dual Cp3's. Like bouncer said, the biggest I would go in a single on a street truck is a 64/14, 66/14 in a CR.

no my wastegate is not blocked off, and my needle is in the elbow. the highest I have hit was 1050 on the redline and i added 250 to 300 to make it right. what I want is to find a big single that will bolt right up to the factory manifold so I can go big for a pull then back to stock my daily driver, same goes for my injectors. 100hp for the steet and 240's for the pulls.

The s300 are going to be the biggest that bolt onto the factory manifold. Anything larger, like an S400, Ht3b, H2E, Aurora 5000, will require a different manifold or a big foot adapter. I would think a variation of the S300 should do quite well for you. If you aren't going to be running this turbo on the street much, a sledpuller 66 would probably be a great choice for you.

Keep in mind anything you use different from your stock charger is going to require a HX40 style downpipe. If you still have a stock exhaust a 4" downpipe is not going to bolt up. Even if you have a 4" aftermarket exhaust you are still going to have to climb under the truck and swap out downpipes everytime you change chargers. IMO it is not worth all of that mess, but your mileage may vary.

Also, I would get that pyro probe out of the exhaust and into the manifold were it belongs. I am still puzzled though how you can get 50psi of boost and not hit more than 1300*, something in this scenario is not adding up.
