Towing power

Im not a diesel owner yet but i am looking to buy one now. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of hp and torq you are getting. I will need to tow a 9000 lb toy hauler. How many miles is too many for a used diesel? Thanx

I've seen a cummins w/ 300k+ pullin sleds...The only thing you look at w/ high miles is engine maintance, and drivetrain (i.e. tranny <---BIG, joints, bearings, all that sorta stuff) What model are you looking at? The SO 24v pushs 235 and the HO pushs 245 Im pretty sure. There are many different power rateings for the old 12v. But you can ALWAYS get more!!!

Miles almost don't count on some diesels. You almost want one with over 100,000 miles just so you get good fuel mileage. It's the rest of the truck you have to worry about. These Dodge/Cummins combos just kind of fall apart at the seems while the engine just keeps on going.

As for HP and Torque.
