what do you guys think

ok i tow a lot. i pull a 32 ft car trailer and haul cars or trucks. i also pull a gooseneck and haul tractors. i want to cool my egt a little. they aren't that bad. i can hit 1200 and sometimes 1300 on some of the big hill. on flat gound i run about 900.
so what do you guys think about putting some water in the mix? just to cool the egt's on the hills.

at least stud your head if you want to add some water or meth. A little bit of water might not be terrible, but you are raising cylinder pressures, and I've never seen it work out too well without some kind of mods to handle the increased pressures.

But those EGT's don't seem that high but I can't really think of anything else besides a bigger turbo(s) that would help. Follow Sean's advise, he won't lead you wrong.

By the way more water for less EGTs, more meth for more HP. You want mostly water or the meth will cance the cooling out.

If you want your EGT's to come down just add a elbow and the BD intercooler. BD's intercooler is nice, but I'm not sure if they have even shipped them yet. You should see your EGT's come down after those.

Well they are brand new to the market. I'm not sure if BD is shipping them, I'm pretty sure they are though, they were suppose to come out last spring. Not much people know about them. Only the 3rd Gen's have been out for a while.

I wonder what took the aftermarket people so long to make a intercooler. I wonder if the stock ones were decently efficient enough already.............../??????

Water is not no where near as bad as water/Meth mix. If used properly water will not harm a stock head set-up. Like said above though Randy, your EGT's don't seem like a issue to me at all. The Cummins is designed to run at 1250* all day long with out any problems. Just reaching 1300* on hills is not going to hurt you, and you can run 1350* plus for short 30 second bursts.

a snow performance kit would help help lower egts but like everyone else says they are not that high so i would just keep truckin along and save the cash.
