new truck with Automatic ?

ok guys im looking to get rid of my five speed and buy a new truck. its the same thing as mine only with an automatic. what is the normal tranny temp for the automatics? do i need to watch anything with the automatic?

There are plenty of things to watch out in these. Make sure you keep on adjusting your bands. Keep up on fluid changes. Maybe even make mods to your cooling system, depending on how many miles are on it and how many times the tranny has blown up. When you do fluid changes on these, loosen the v/b screws to let more fluid come out. Also take the check ball out of the cooler by your turbo. It doesn't take much to blow these automatics up. But when you do, there are aftermarket parts for ya.
