Can someone please walk me through a Throttle Valve Adjustment

Hey all, I am getting really tired of my tranny shifting like crap and I am finally gonna have some time this weekend to get it figured out. So, I have been reading up on TV adjustments, but no one has a good rundown of what exactly to do. So, if someone could please give me a quick step by step to the process I would appreciate it. From what I gather, its a pretty simple process, I just want to be sure. Also I am pretty sure I know where the TV is and what to look for, however, a quick insight into that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

-Greg

Shoot, sorry I didn't read your post over too carefully. I need to lay off the alchy. I don't know about the TV. I haven't ran into any problems with it on these.

In the picture of this forum you see the rod with the spring. Thats the throttle valve cable for the cummins 24V trucks. Its not adjustable like the 12V engines cause the transmission is elcetronic controled. All i can sayy is if your bads are not adjusted right and the spring for the TV cable is weak or is strtched the tranny wont shift right. I had to replace my spring. Its doesn't need to be an extremly stiff spring, jst one with good tention. The only other thing i can say is have it plugged in to see if there is any codes too. I wish you luck
