boost fooler or not

Alright so I have been thinking about getting a boost fooler after I just recently bought a superchips and I am only seeing about 19 max boost. So do you think its worth it. I would also like some prices to  I would also like some dislikes and like if anyone is running one.

i am not sure but i do believe that the superchips has the boost fooler built it. if not then check out an A.D.D. device from Scheid. they are only 60 bucks. If you are planning on upgrading to a bigger box though most boxes have a boost fooler built in. i believe all of the edge boxes have boost fooler.

o and that little brass boost elbow droped my egts by 100degress on top. i use to be able to wot and could hit 1200 and after i but the elbow i can go from a stop to 110mph on flat and it stays on 1100 and never went past, with comp turned off, but as in my sig. i do gave more stuff to help it breath and flow better.

Yeah, the elbow is the reason you aren't seeing higher boost numbers. All a boost fooler will do is keep you from throwing a code when you hit those higher numbers. The elbow has a smaller or adjustable oriface than stock which keeps the wastegate closed longer and allows you to build more boost. On a stock truck you don't really need one because you don't have extra fuel to burn. They can be picked up for anywhere from $20-30. Rip Rook sells them. Here is a link to the ones he sells.

I was told that some will throw the code and some won't. When i have comp on 5x5 and turbo builds boost it hits 32psi fast and then drops back down to around 27psi, does that sound like its reading overboost and defueling? i can't tell power loss cause right when it starts to drop i have to shift.

If its defueling, you will notice that your EGT's will drop too. However, having the wastegate open up on you will also make it drop. Try plugging the wastegate line and see if it still happens. If it still happens, then its probably defueling, or the spring in your wastegate accuator could be shot.

I think over boost will throw a code. If you're not throwing a code, I doubt you're over boosting.
